ERROR CORRECTION

Error correction এমন একটি প্রক্রিয়া যার মাধ্যমে একটি বাক্যের ত্রুটি / ভুল সনাক্ত করতে হয় এবং সেই বাক্যকে একটি ব্যাকরণগতভাবে সঠিক বাক্যে রূপান্তর করতে হয়। আর এর জন্য অবশ্যই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ব্যাকরণগত ধারণাগুলিতে রপ্ত হতে হবে।

(b) ‘Many a’ takes singular noun, as well as singular verb. So replace ‘have’ by ‘has’.

(b) Don’t use ‘of’ after ‘comprises’. It is superflous use. 

e.g., The class comprises fourty students.

দুটো সিঙ্গুলার নাউন and দ্বারা যুক্ত হলে যদি pair হিসাবে ব্যাবহার হয় তখন singular হয়ে যায় । তখন verb আসবে singular verb

(b) Phrase ‘one of the’ takes plural noun and singular verb after it. So, replace ‘give’ by ‘gives.”

(b) ‘Its time’ or ‘it’s high time’ is followed by (Verb)2. So, ‘renovate’ is to be replaced by ‘renovated’. e.g., It’s high time we played a match.

For a person specified, we should use article ‘the’. e.g., The secretary did not mind my words.

‘Inning’ is wrong usage. We should use ‘innings’ instead.
e.g., I was watching the highlights of the first innings of the world cup final.

The correct syntax for interrogative sentence is ‘wh’ word + do/does+ sub + verb +?. So, we should replace ‘it takes’ by ‘does it take’. e.g., 

How long does it take to…. ?

 
QUESTION NO. 9

(c) Replace ‘his’ by ‘ones’ to make the possessive correct.

(c) Verb ‘prefer’ takes ‘to’ not ‘than’ after it.
